News July 2010Posted by Veronica Thorén Tue, August 24, 2010 23:04:482010-07-24 - International show in Köping, judge Lars Widén, breed entry ap 50.
First out of the RVs were Diesel (RV Octane) and Ramses who showed in open class. Diesel was his usual laid back self and I can't really claim that I got him to show his socks off. :o Nonetheless, he won the open class - with Ramses placing nicely 2nd. Both boys received champion quality.
Diesel was fighting (or maybe not so much, but I sure was!) 'til the end to gain the CC but stumbled on the finish line - placing best male -5, only one dog behind the CC.

Moving well, when he chooses to. ;)

Lovely Diesel stacked in the best male line up
The RV first bitch in the ring was Tingeling in junior class. She won the class with champion quality and was in the final six and the last one to be excused before the placing of top five in the bitch class.

And on the move
Next lot of gals was in a big open class. I was very pleased to see sisters RV Naiad and RV Najéli place 2nd and 3rd in stiff competition - both with champion quality. :) Neither of these girls have been shown much. Najéli was shown on a couple of occations last summer and did just as well as Naiad has been doing this summer - winning open class both days at the big double Int show in Norrköping/Nyköping and going BOS with CC one day.
Naiad finished very nicely as 3rd best bitch - one spot from her second CC - from a very strong entry of nice bitches this day. Big congrats Marika and Inka on bb-2 and your first CC!!
Unfortunately our camera woman seems to have had a vacation during open class (perhaps biting her nails?) so we don't have a single photo of the lovely sisters in action.

RV Najéli - 3rd in open class with champion quality
In champion class, Pila was the only one of our gang to compete. Certainly doing it with honours. winning best champion, best bitch and CACIB.

Ch RV Pilgrim and mum Ninna - best bitch
In the best of breed rounds, Pila was up against handsome Austalian import Eros, Ch Elangeni Braveheart Rules. Both dogs showed off attitude and movement in the finals and we were very proud to see the judge award our Pila Best of Breed! :)

The judge awarding Pila Best of breed :)
Rex Ventors also competed in the breed with a breeder's group consisting of four lovely girls. RV Tingeling, Ch RV Pilgrim and sister RV Naiad and RV Najéli made out a very pleasing quartet. The judge awarded us best breeder of breed and we decided to stay on for the finals.

Ting, Najéli, Naiad and Pila
First out in the finals was Pila who performed beautifully and secured a Best in Group -3 in stiff competition. Well done Ninna & Pila!

Working it in the line up

Rendering a nice BIG-3 placement :)
Next was the breeder's group competition. The number of breeder's groups competing was insane - well over 20, I would say. We were very pleased to be picked out in the final five and a BIS-4 breeder placement was a perfect end to a great day!
Biggest thanks Martina, Ninna & Jenny for handling the lovely gals and to Siv for taking pictures while we were in the finals! :)

In the line up, hoping for the judge's grace

Placed in the no 4 spot :)

News August 2010Posted by Veronica Thorén Mon, August 23, 2010 22:42:06On August 21st I received a text from my Danish breeder collegue and co-owner of Rex Ventors Talulah K, Nada Nicolic. Nada and co-owner Caroline had taken a trip to Leipzig to attend the VDH Sieger show. Talulah "Tulle" had won the junior class thus gaining the official title of VDH Jugendsieger Leipzig 2010 (youth winner title). Super well done girls!!
Second in the junior class, was Tulle's sister RV Trinity who travelled from Czech republic with mum Lenka to attend the show. Good to hear that the sisters got a rendez-vous and some time to catch up! :)
I hope to get some show photos from this day, but in the mean time, here is photo of the lovely girls! :)

At this show it turned out to be "the boys' day". :)
RV Ramses competed from intermediate class and beat several champions as he finished nicely as best male -5. Ramses is continuously placing in the top, which is very pleasing to see. He is such a balanced boy and mum Sofia certainly makes the best of him in the ring. :)

Rex Ventors Ramses
RV Oakley "Elmer" has only been shown on a couple of occations (which we hope will change now...;) and he struck gold hitting the ring this day (maybe because he is per definition a "golden boy":). Elmer won the open class and finished best male -3 - winning his first CC!! Well done, Maria and Elmer!!

Rex Ventors Oakley "Elmer"

Rex Ventors Octane "Diesel" - Elmer's handsome brother who also competed in open class
In the champion class, our boy Ch Rex Ventors Pegasus "PG", took top honours and won the class. He finished bm-2 after a very handsome veteran who has been doing loads of winning in his days. Since the winner was already an international champion, the welcome CACIB was passed on to PG. :)

Well done boys!!

At this show there were only a couple of RV's present. Best placement was by Ch Rex Ventors Pilgrim "Pila", who won the champion class and finished best bitch -2.

Pila best champion bitch
But we also had a couple of grand-kids present and the certainly help keep the RV-flag flying! :) Evergrace's Reliable Radya aka Buffy is a stunning livernosed girl sired by our handsome boy Ch Rex Ventors Hero to Evergrace and by beautiful Ch Rex Ventors Iyeliz. Buffy was awarded BOB-puppy on the day - biggest congrats Jenny Giannoglou and Ewa Dackmar!

Evergrace's Reliable Radya
The CC-winning male Evergrace's Wildheart Wolverine is Ch Rex Ventors Hero to Evergrace x Rex Ventors Noelle - so he is also 100% RV breeding. This promising boy is only 10 months old and managed a CC win in stiff competion. Congratulations to breeders and owners!

News July 2010Posted by Veronica Thorén Sun, August 22, 2010 23:33:29On June 10-11th, Ninna and I packed Pila and Sandor and met up with Jenny and Naiad to attend shows at Tvååker.
The first day, the judge was Ms Erna-Britt Nordin and the breed entry 47. Sandor was first out and he placed nicely 2nd in intermediate class with champion quality. Here are some shots of the handsome young boy.

Ch RV Maddox was shown in the champion class but was not placed this day.

In open class bitches, I showed Naiad for the second time this year. It was a big class and I was very, very pleased to her both behave beautifully and on top of that WIN the class!

Ninna and Pila entered the ring in champion class and placed as no 5 in the class today - showing beautifully as always.

Beautiful Ch RV Pilgrim "Pila"

In the best bitch class, Naiad was kept in the final five and we were working hard for that CC but had to see ourselves beaten on the finish line. Naiad finished very nicely as best bitch -3 in a selection of very strong bitches - and beating all the champion bitches present.

2010-07-11 - The second day, the RRs were judged by Erling Pedersen from Denmark. This day Sandor placed 3rd in intermediate class with honour's prize.

Of the bitches, Naiad repeated her achievement and once again won the tough open class, being awarded champion quality. This time, however, she was not placed in the final five.

News June 2010Posted by Veronica Thorén Sun, August 22, 2010 22:10:502010-06-26 - National specialty judged by Ms Barbara Rupert, USA. Breed entry 113.
Only a handful of RV's were present to compete but I was thrilled to hear the good news poring in nonetheless. Rex Ventors Ramses won the intermediate class and finished amazingly as no 2 best male of all the 44 boys who were competing! Biggest congrats Sofia! Once again, he was just behind the CC-spot as the winner was a Finnish dog that did not have the Swedish champion title and thus won the CC.

Lovely Ramses with proud mum Sofia
Ch Rex Ventors Orlando "Viggo" won a strong champion class of 9 males and finished as best male -3. Viggo is rarely shown, but when he is, he certainly makes his mark in the ring! :)
In the bitch classes, Rex Ventors Tamika placed 2nd in a junior class of 15, with champion quality. At the National Specialty, 10 dogs and 10 bitches are placed for the sake of show points towards top RR in the country. Tamika placed nicely in the no 10 spot. Ch RV Okalani was awarded champion quality but was not placed in the class.
News June 2010Posted by Veronica Thorén Fri, August 20, 2010 23:48:34A 3 x international summer show was held in Jönköping June 19-21.
2010-06-19On the first day some 80 RR (I memory serves) were judged by Marie-Luisa Doppelreiter from Austria. I started out by showing RV Tayari who is an absolutely stunning male, although the judge felt he was too tall on the day. My guess is that he will have a brilliant future. :) Just have a look at these photos of handsome and upstanding "Taggen" and his impressive side gait!

Above: Rex Ventors Tayari
We didn't have a lot of RV-dogs entered and I was quite obnoxious in announcing that you don't have to bring that many, if you bring the best ones. Of course I was just kidding, but on this day I was proven right - much to my surprise. Christer Yrjas had luckily decided to enter his handsome boy Ch Rex Ventors Orlando "Viggo", who was expertly handled by Helena Sirén of Anzantra kennels. Before we knew what happend, Viggo had won an insanely strong champion class and suddenly stood in the number one spot for best male. :)

Ch Rex Ventors Orlando - best male
I then entered the ring with Rex Ventors Tingeling. This little rascal of a kangaroo-dog actually performed very well and won a big junior class, with champion quality. I was over the moon and certainly didn't expect more, even though possibly hoping for a best bitch placement. I was chocked - and thrilled - when she was awarded Best bitch ahead of tons of amazing looking girls, including highly commended champions..! :) :)

Rex Ventors Tingeling
I also showed RV Rakel and Ch RV Iving - Tayari and Tingeling's dam - in open and champion class but neither of them seemed to be what the judge was looking for.

Gorgeous Ch Rex Ventors Iving
In the BOB/BOS finals it was a swell feeling to have two RV-dogs running for top honour - and not really having to care which way it would go. Handsome Viggo was awarded BOB with cute little Ting going BOS. :)

2010-06-21Judge on the second day was Christian Stavarche. This day I showed another T-boy; Rex Ventors Troy. He certainly performed with honours and won the junior class with champion quality. He then finished very nicely as best male -3 - only one dog from his first CC! :)

In the bitch class, sister Tingeling once again won the junior class with champion quality. She also placed as best bitch -4, which again is extremely well considering what a young girl she is and the stiff competition she is up againt. :)

Rex Ventors Tingeling - best junior and best bitch -4
Unfortunately my memory fails me and I don't remember the exact placements from these days of Ting's lovely sister Tamika. I do know however that she was placed in the very big junior class, at least one of the days. Feel free to fill me in! :)

Congratulations to Norwegian duo Ino and Malaika from Kangelani on bringing home the BOB and BOS wins! :)

2010-06-21Judge this day was Salvatore Tripoli from Italy and the breed entry again was around 80.
First out was again our handsome boy Troy and he placed 3rd in a strong class this day. Winner of the class was half-brother Ron - well done Johanna!

RV Troy in junior class
In a very big open class, two of the RV boys snatched a placement. RV Octane placed 4th and RV Ramses placed 5th.

RV Ramses and Sofia showing to a placement in the big open class
In the bitch classes, Ting was first out from our crew. This day she had to see herself beaten by half sister Ciara for the class win - well done, Lisa! Ting placed 2nd in the big class with champion quality award.

In intermediate class, Ch RV Jamila's daughter Jelani's Beautiful Butterfly "Pixie" took the class win and finished very nicely as bb-3. Well done Josefine! Our gal Rakel placed 3rd in a big class. Iving was shown in champion class and placed 5th in a very strong class.

Beautiful Iving
BOB of the day was Russian male Ch Makao Ngumo Namdi and BOS was Ch African Hunter's Amazing Bim - who gained her title the day before! Congrats.
